Knitting may seem quaint now, but for much of human history it has been a necessity and powerful piece of ancient technology.

Requiring only needles, yarn and time, a skilled knitter can create textiles from anywhere. Because of this, it has been an important skill throughout history for nomadic people and those working from home alike. This continues to be true - our partners who knit with Story mfg. work together in a communal space but also (if they need to) choose to knit from their own homes.

It takes a really long time to knit one of our jumpers - weeks in fact. I know that would be a problem for most brands because it makes them expensive, but we are making them to be worn and loved for a long time so it's okay.
