Weekend Retail Assistant (Part Time, Temp) - London

We're opening the studio up for the summer and we need some help running it.

Two roles. One is Saturday only. One is Saturday and Sunday. Both roles are temporary - summer season, starting beginning May, based at our London studio.

We've been making clothes slowly for about thirteen years now. Natural dyes, handmade processes, fabric that take a long time. You probably already know this. If you're reading a Story mfg job post, you've almost certainly already been down a rabbit hole or two.

We want a couple of people who already care about the things we care about, who can talk honestly with people who come into the studio, and who want to spend their weekends in a room full of clothes that took a very long time to make, helping people understand them.

What we're looking for:

• Retail or customer-facing experience - you know how to talk to people and make them feel welcome

• Comfortable handling sales, a till, and a busy moment with ease

• Reliable and self-sufficient; you might be on your own sometimes

• Happy to muck in with physical tasks - steaming, tidying, moving stock around

• Organised and presentable; the studio is our home and we'd like to keep it that way

• A genuine interest in Story mfg.
